Hanoi and Vientiane women sign comprehensive cooperation memorandum

A ceremony to sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Hanoi Women`s Union and Vientiane Women`s Union was held in Hanoi on June 27.

The memorandum signing was organiseid in the framework of the visit to Hanoi city of the Vientiane Women's Union led by President Khamphay Latsamy from June 24-30.

The comprehensive cooperation memorandum aims to promote and strengthen of traditional, friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation ties between the two associations.
At the event, President of Hanoi Women's Union Tran Thi Phuong Hoa introduced the union's achievements gained in the recent years.
On behalf of Vientiane Women's Union, President Khamphay Latsamy thanked for the reception of Hanoi Women's Union and expressed her wishes to learn experiences in building a model of  civilized and happy family.
Under the memorandum, the two sides will strengthen to meet, exchange experiences and help each other, especially focused on the equal rights of men and women, the protection of women and children, and reducing women's divorce.
Besides, Hanoi Women's Union will support the Vientiane Women's Union experiences and skills in women's family economic development and the new rural building.
At the same time, the two sides will continue exchanging the delegations of their senior leaders, creating favourable conditions for women entrepreneurs association of the two capitals in the cooperation, meetings and mutual exchange of agriculture, travel and business.
