Hanoi City Social Security has received the flag of excellence in the emulation movement 2018 of the Hanoi People`s Committee.

In 2018, Hanoi's coverage of health insurance reached 85.6% of the population, 1.2% above the target assigned by the municipal People's Council and People's Committee.

Besides, the debt ratio of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance in the city fell sharply to 2.53%. The related agencies have completed data entry, handed over social insurance books to employees and finished synchronizing population data to issue health insurance card numbers according to the number of social insurance books.

With these achievements, Hanoi City Social Insurance has received the flag of excellence in the emulation movement 2018 of the Hanoi People's Committee.

Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Security Dao Viet Anh highly valued the results achieved by Hanoi Social Security in 2018, especially the results of incorporating participants in voluntary health insurance and social insurance.

It is necessary to strengthen the health insurance assessment, work closely with the Department of Health in controlling health insurance spending, but to ensure the rights of the buyers, Anh said.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Ngo Van Quy asked the Hanoi Social Security to fulfill and surpass the targets assigned by the municipal People's Council in 2019.

Quy asked the Hanoi Social Security to focus raising the coverage of health insurance to 88.2%; 90% of employees will participate in compulsory social insurance and the growth rate of voluntary social insurance will reache 30%.
