Under the 2022 OCOP Classification Program, Hanoi will evaluate and classify 518 products from 191 industries.

The Hanoi New Rural Construction Program Coordination Office, in cooperation with the city's OCOP Product Classification and Evaluation Council, agreed on the result at a phase one evaluation and rating conference held in Hanoi on March 14.
At the conference, delegates also decided on the rating of OCOP products for the second phase. Of the 518 classified products, one potential candidate will be rated with five stars, 271 with four stars, and 246 with three stars.
Of the 518 products selected, 76 are in the fresh food industry, 225 in the processed food industry, 12 in the beverage industry, 22 in the herbal industry, 168 in the handicraft industry, 13 in the textile and garment industry, and 2 in rural tourism.
Prior to the evaluation, 529 products from 26 out of 30 districts and cities in the capital were submitted for grading.
Speaking at the event, Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, asked the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Hanoi Office of New Rural Construction Program Coordination to submit the relevant documents to the Hanoi People's Committee for approval of the 518 OCOP products.
This year, the city aims to have another 400 products certified with three stars or more, including 10 potential candidates for the five-star rating by the National Council of OCOP.
By 2025, the city aims to complete the assessment and evaluation of at least 2,000 OCOP products. To achieve the goal, the capital will prioritize the upgrading of regional specialties and traditional craft villages, and continue to support the branding of certified products.
Currently, Hanoi leads the country in OCOP products, with nearly 1,700 ranked products from 426 enterprises, cooperatives, and business households in the capital.
