As the Formula One (F1) race Vietnam Grand Prix 2020 has been canceled due to Covid-19, Hanoi is dismantling the circuit infrastructure.

| In August, the F1 Race Organizing Board announced four additional races for the 2020 F1 calendar will be held in Turkey, Bahrain (hosting two races), and Abu Dhabi while Vietnam is off the list. |

| The F1 Vietnam Grand Prix 2020 was planned to take place on April 3-5 but put off due to the raging Covid-19 pandemic. The postponement was aimed at ensuring the health and safety of the traveling staff, championship participants and fans, according to F1’s statement. |

| The F1 race track was built on an area of 88 hectares including part of the campus of the My Dinh Sports Complex and surrounding streets including Le Quang Dao and Le Duc Tho. |

| The track runs a length of 5.6 kilometers and includes 23 turns as well as a back straight that - at 1.6-kilometer-long - will see cars hit speeds of up to 335 kilometers per hour. |
