An art photo festival with theme “The beauty of folk” is underway from May 29 to 31 at the Hanoi Information and Exhibition Center Exhibition House on 93 Dinh Tien Hoang street, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi.
Hanoians have a chance to enjoy one hundred photos featuring the beauty and daily life in three cities namely Hanoi, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.
Of the total works, 40 photos show the landscape and people of Hanoi while 60 others depict Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Hanoi Art Photography Association Dang Dinh An said that the festival was part of traditional activities between the art photography association of three cities. At this year’s event, the displayed photos are high-quality works in both content and style.
Through the pictures, the photographers present many discoveries and new perspectives on the people’s lifestyles in the three cities. They captured the vibrant life in all corners, reflecting the land, people and cultural beauty as well as specific characteristics of each city.
The festival aims to introduce to visitors the beauty of the three major cities in Vietnam. The event also offers an opportunity for photographers from the cities to meet and discuss experience in order to improve their skills.
The exhibition was first held in 1978 and has been organized annually since 2011. In recent years, the art photo festival has become a co-operative arts event among photographers’ associations in Hanoi, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.
