Hanoi continues to support provinces and cities in promoting the consumption of fruits, specialties, and the One Commune One Product (OCOP) items in the capital city.
A week introducing Handicraft Villages and Safe Agricultural Products and OCOP in 2023 is underway from August 17 to 21 in Thach That District, Hanoi.

Over 40 enterprises, cooperatives, and organizations from Hanoi and 18 provinces and cities nationwide participated in the event.
At the opening ceremony of the event on August 17, Nguyen Van Chi, Deputy Head of the Hanoi Coordination Office of the New Rural Construction Program, said that the event aims to strengthen the connection between manufacturers and traders, find outlets for products, share experiences in digital transformation, and flexibly adapt to the post-pandemic and market fluctuations.
OCOP has been among key achievements of Hanoi since the capital's administrative boundary expansion 15 years ago.
Moreover, it is also a practical response to the campaign "Vietnamese people buy Vietnamese products" in the new context, he stressed.
At the same time, consumers in the city will have the opportunity to purchase fruits, agricultural products, and specialties from different regions at the Hanoi 2023 Provincial and City Fruit and Agricultural Products Week held on August 16-20 at the Hoang Mai District Cultural, Information and Sports Center.
More than 45 enterprises and cooperatives from Hanoi and 15 provinces, including Haiphong, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Ha Nam, Hung Yen, Son La, Lao Cai, Quang Ninh, Quang Ngai, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, and Quang Nam, joined the five-day event with more than 70 booths.
Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Director of Van Long International Import-Export Investment Company, who attended the event, said it would help promote agricultural products and fruits from the northern province of Lao Cai and other localities to consumers in Hanoi.
He also expected to expand direct sales channels in the capital.
During the event, local enterprises will introduce mangoes, melons, and other seasonal fruits, milk, dairy products, regional specialties, and OCOP products to consumers and tourists in Hanoi.
