Hanoi - Kiev to enhance cooperation on infrastructure and energy

On November 17 afternoon, Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung had a meeting with Ambassador of Ukraine toVietnam, Mr. Oleksyi Sovkoplias.

Together attending the meeting, there was Business Manager of Spain’s IDOM group to discuss cooperation with Hanoi in the fields of infrastructure and energy.

Thanking for the warm welcome of the city leaders, Ambassador of Ukraine Oleksiy Shovkoplias affirmed that Ukraine-Vietnam cooperation is extremely nice. The Ambassador stressed that Ukraine has profound experience in designing public transportation systems including the subway system; at the same time, Kiev City also has many similarities in geography, topography of the Capital of Hanoi. At the meeting, representatives of IDOM company also supply information on the project, this company's typical projects have been ever implemented and expressed his desire to cooperate with Hanoi in infrastructure and energy projects in the coming time. Ambassador Oleksyi Sovkoplias said IDOM successfully constructed a metro system in his country’s capital Kiev, and it hopes to cooperate with Hanoi in this field. 

Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung made the remark that Hanoi is ready to provide information for Ukrainian and Spanish enterprises to enhance investments in infrastructure and energy with the Vietnamese capital city. Chung expressed his interest in the proposals suggested by the diplomat and the IDOM executive, noting that they are in accordance with Hanoi’s development plan. The Vietnamese capital has plans to carry out infrastructure and environmental treatment projects between 2016 and 2020, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung stressed.
