Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Head of the Emulation Board and Vice Head of the Organizing Board Phung Minh Son said: The contest was deployed by 100% of urban districts, districts, towns and units under the City and was enthusiastically supported by the people.
Articles and works have been renovated and attached to the life, direct laborers and paid attention to the key fields of the City. As of July 15, 2016, the Organizing Committee received 847 articles from 78 units of the City; 215 newspaper works from 17 Central and City’s press agencies.
The Central and City’s press agencies also actively wrote many articles to propagate, reflect and participate in the contest. Specifically, the Kinh Te & Do Thi Newspaper opened an item about the contest on both printed and electronic newspapers, posted 158 articles about good people and good acts. Through the contests, over 5,000 good people and samples were honored and reward at the grassroots level.
After assessing 1,062 articles and works, the Emulation Board advised the City People’s Committee to offer the certificate of merit to 3 households and 107 individuals and presented the title elite citizen of the City to one individual and propose the Prime Minister to award certificate of merit to 3 families who have made a lot of contributions to the society and community.
At the workshop, the Organizing Board presented certificate of merit to 39 winning works and authors in the contest this year, including 01 first prize (newspaper work “Mr. “Evil” with Buddhist heart” of Author Nam Hai – Kinh Te & Do Thi Newspaper), 3 second prizes (including 2 newspaper works and 1 article, including “Good actions of noble hearts” of author Ha Linh – Kinh Te & Do Thi Newspaper); 5 third prizes (including 3 newspaper works and 2 articles); 30 encouragement prizes (including 20 newspaper works and 10 articles, including “Person lets silk worms make the silk by itself” of author Bich Hoi – Kinh Te & Do Thi Newspaper).
Vice Head of the City People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy offered certificate of merit on behalf of the City People’s Committee to 11 collectives with the achievements on well implementing the contest in 2016, including Kinh Te & Do Thi Newspaper.
The Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy assessed that the Contest has made contribution to raising the awareness of all levels, branches and people about the development and review of the patriot emulation of the City and has stronger and stronger spreading ability.
The Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee also officially ignited the Emulation 2017 in which he stressed: “All levels of the Party, authority, Fatherland Fronts and unions need to deeply propagate about the Contest in particular and the emulation “Good people, good acts” in general; have more creative ways of implementation in detecting typical examples, implementing key political tasks of the City.
Especially, they need to attach to the implementation of the Directive No. 05-CT/TU of the Politburo on promoting the learning and following the ideology, morality and style of Uncle Ho, promote the patriot emulation in all the social fields, etc. to assert and hold the position of the City as the leading city in the country’s patriot emulation”.
On October 5, Tay Ho District also review the emulation 2016 and promote the last emulation phase to strive for completing the socio-economic targets and tasks for 2016.
In 2016, the good people and good acts emulation in the District is attached to the emulation activities and specific tasks for each field. There are 254 good people and good acts are rewarded, including 12 examples at the City level.
On October 5, Me Linh District organized the posthumous ceremony of State title “Vietnamese heroic mothers” and honored & reviewed the contest on arriving about advance examples and good people and good acts in 2016.
At the meeting, leaders of the District awarded the certificate of merits of the City People’s Committee to recognize good people and good acts of the City to 18 individuals and awarded the certificate of merits to 39 good people and good acts at the district level.
After reviewing the contest on writing about good people and good acts in 2016, the district People’s Committee also presented certificate of merits to 2 authors and 2 typical examples who are selected to be printed in the book “nice flowers” volume 22 of Hanoi City’s Emulation Board.
