Hanoi mobilizes more investment in building new-style rural areas
Hanoi will build and upgrade new-style rural areas, improving the living standard of farmers in the period of 2016-2020, with many solutions.

This budget was mobilized from the central budget of VND 58 billion, the city budget was VND 10,667.6 billion, the district budget was VND 11,438.7 billion, the commune budget was VND 680.1 billion. Notably, Hanoi has mobilized non-budgetary capital of VND 2,248.9 billion (contributed by businesses, cooperatives).
From these resources, Hanoi is leading the country in number of recognized local standards. Up to now, 255/386 communes (accounting for nearly 66.1%) have been recognized by the People's Committee of the new-style rural standard. Farmers' living standards have been constantly improved, and the rate of poor households in rural areas has fallen sharply, from 3.65% in 2016 to 2.57% in late 2017.
Together with that, the average income per capita in rural areas by the end of 2017 is 38 million VND/person/year. Health care, disease prevention, health care farmers have made great progress.
100% of commune healthcare stations have doctors. The percentage of people participating in health insurance reached 86.06% (exceeding 3.26% compared with the plan), 49% of people have access to clean water according to the standards of the Ministry of Health.
According to the Steering Committee of the new-style rural development program in Hanoi, in 2018, the city will continue to allocate VND 250 billion to the City Bank for Social Policies to disburse the beneficiaries, creating conditions for households to borrow capital to develop production, improve people's lives.
