Hanoi official inspects construction site of Line 3 of the city metro railway
Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen The Hung asked the investor and the contractor to gear up the construction progress to finish it two months ahead of schedule, June 2020.
Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen The Hung on June 21 inspected the construction site of the Nhon – Hanoi Railway Station sky train, also known as Metro line 3, Hanoi Portal reported.
According to the representative of management board, all bidding packages are being urgently executed as planned with the highest quality. Up to 51% of the project's workload has been completed. Particularly, 99% of the elevated sections have been built.
Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen The Hung asked the investor and the contractor to gear up the construction progress to finish it two months ahead of schedule, June 2020.
Hanoi will provide full funding to the contractor to effectively and quickly implement construction items. In addition, the trains will be appraised very soon, Hung added.
Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen The Hung also emphasized that the contractor should ensure that the architecture of project highlights the culture of Hanoi.
The Nhon-Hanoi Railway Station route extends 12.5 kilometers from Nhon in Tay Tuu Ward, the western district of Nam Tu Liem, along Kim Ma Street to Hanoi Railway Station in the downtown area. It runs 8.5 kilometers on elevated tracks through eight stations and four kilometers underground through four stations.
The route is one of several metro lines planned for the capital to ease traffic congestion and reduce emissions. It is unknown when the first line, from Cat Linh to Ha Dong, constructed by a Chinese contractor, will begin operation. The 13-kilometer route runs from Cat Linh station in downtown Dong Da district to Yen Nghia bus station in the south-west Ha Dong district.
On this occasion, Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen The Hung also inspected the construction site of Yen Xa wastewater treatment plant and Vo Chi Cong Administrative Complex project.
