The 7th Vietnam Water Expo and Forum (Vietwater 2015) and the first Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency exhibition was organised at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Centre, Hanoi from November 25-27.
Vietwater 2015 and the Renewable Energy Programme and Energy Efficiency Event, attracts the participation of over 380 enterprises from 35 countries and territories worldwide, including Australia, Belgium, China, Finland, France, Hungary, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Singapore.
Advanced technologies applied in energy and water supply and sewage will be introduced during the event.
The exhibition makes a good opportunity for both domestic and foreign businesses to boost cooperation in order to develop further the water and energy sectors.
Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of Construction Phan Thi My Linh said that water and energy are the two urgent issues in Vietnam as well as in other countries amid rapid urbanisation.
She added that global demand for energy is forecasted to increase by 50% and water used for energy production will hike up 20% by 2035, posing challenges to urban areas and regions during development process.
