Hanoi People`s Committee held a Full Moon Festival at the Hoai Duc cultural sports center on September 24.

Attending the event were Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan; Chairwoman of Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Nguyen Van Suu and nearly 1,000 children from disadvantaged backgrounds in the city.
Addressing the event, Deputy Chairman Nguyen Van Suu said that the festival is expected to bring a happy Mid-Autumn Festival to the needy children.
At the event, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan presented 30 scholarships worth 20 million VND each to students with outstanding academic performance.
At the ceremony, local authorities granted 1,000 gift packages to children being cared at child protection centers.
Hanoi's Children Sponsor Fund and some businesses also presented 100 scholarships worth 2 million VND each to children with outstanding academic performance.
