Hanoi police asked to ensure safety of political events

On the occasion of the traditional Lunar Near Year (Tet) festival (Tet), newly-assigned Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai extended his best wishes to the municipal Department of Public Security and the High Command of the capital city on February 6.

Secretary Hai appreciated the devotion of officers and soldiers of the two agencies to ensuring defence, political security, and social order and safety in Hanoi.
The Secretary required the city’s police to give their utmost efforts to ensure the absolute safety of political events to be organised in Hanoi in 2016, including the National Assembly election, and to be prepared to respond to any incidents occurring.

The police force  was asked to conduct drastic and effective crime crackdowns while heightening security at public places during Tet, he added. 
Talking to officers of the city’s High Command, Secretary Hai said they should be fully aware of their responsibility in safeguarding the nation and always be alert to prevent hostile forces’ sabotage schemes. 
The High Command’s agencies need to improve training quality and combat readiness and tighten their connections with local people, Hai stressed, and believing that local armed forces will gain more achievements in the future.
