Hanoi police receive reports on security via Facebook

The reports can be sent in the form of documents, images, video clips, on security and order including police officers’ manner when on duty, criminal cases and other information under the competence of the city’s police to handle.

Hanoi police will receive information from citizens on security and order via Facebook from June 17, local media reported.

Accordingly, via the Facebook page "Cong an Thanh pho Ha Noi", the citizens could report to the police as well as send messages via Facebook Messenger application.

The Hanoi police's official fanpage at www.facebook.com/CongAnThuDo is expected to come into operation from June 17 and administered by officers of the Hanoi police's information center. The fanpage has a "Verified" check mark.

The reports can be sent in the form of documents, imges, video clips, on security and order including police officers’ manner when on duty, criminal cases and other information under the competence of the city’s police to handle.

The officer on duty will receive the information, select and classify them to give answers. Then, the center will reply on the Facebook page and ask the people and police force to monitor, evaluate and supervise the results. People who provide information on security and order will be protected and their personal information will be kept confidential. 

This project will help the city police quickly learn about security and order situation, improve the quality and effectiveness of receiving and resolving people’s complaints, promptly handle cases right from the grassroots level and as soon as possible.
