Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung warmly welcomed the ongoing development towards a new level of Vietnam - Japan relations, also recorded 5 contents suggested by the Ambassador. He said he would coordinate to implement. Nguyen Duc Chung thanked Japanese government as well as the Embassy of Japan in recent years has collaborated with Hanoi to organize cultural exchanges, promote critical infrastructure projects, ODA projects and expressed his desire to promote Hanoi - Tokyo relations to have more extensive cooperation. "City had planned from now until 2020 to ensure Hanoi's people who are using the new standard of clean water, and will create favorable conditions for Japanese businesses in related investment, transfering technology for the Capital," said City Chairman Chung.
On the side of Hanoi, HCM City Chairman also addressed to Ambassador 5 proposals include: Support for events such localities Capital Cherry Festival in May 3/2017; Investment promotion conference in Hanoi; technology transfer cooperation with Okinawa Prefecture on landscape design, trees, towards the development of breeding centers; ODA flows and promote coordination with the International Cooperation Agency of Japan (JICA) Construction plans to reduce traffic congestion in Hanoi, the realization of the "Smart City".
