Chi emphasized in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the implementation of the goal of the Hanoi OCOP Program in 2021 had certain difficulties “With the participant of the city’s authority, localities and trade villages, the city's goal in 2021 is completely achievable,” he said.

In the latest move, Dan Phuong District and other localities in Hanoi are actively evaluating products for submission to the city for appraisal and classification.

On November 18, the city OCOP Product Classification and Evaluation Council appraised eight products by eight businesses from Dan Phuong District including Cuoi Quy Organic Vegetable Cooperative and Khang Thinh Pharmaceutical JSC which submitted eight products and others for evaluation and classification.

The candidates are mainly farm items such as cordyceps, cereal flour, Phung spring rolls, bottled water, tofu, and different species of vegetables and fruits.

Head of the Economic Division of Dan Phuong District Nguyen Viet Dat said in the 2018-2020 period, the province had 56 products evaluated and graded as the city’s OCOP ones.

“The district hopes that this year, there will be at least another 19  certified products, contributing to improving the value of agricultural products and food, then creating motivation for businesses to actively participate in the program in the following years,” he said.

To support OCOP subjects, the city proposed the Government soon issue a synchronous policy to effectively implement the OCOP Program for the 2021-25 period.
