Two students from Hanoi have won bronze medals at the international Microsoft Office and Adobe competitions in the US.
Of the two students, Nguyen Minh Duong, a second-year student at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology secured a bronze medal in the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship’s Word 365 Apps category.

This is Duong's second time participating in the Microsoft Office championship. He competed in the 2021 season as a high-school senior and won second place nationally in the Microsoft Word 2016 category.
In addition to Nguyen Minh Duong's individual achievement, all five members of the Vietnamese MOS team made it to the top 10 highest-scoring contestants in each category at the 2024 world finals.
The other bronze medal went to Mai Ngoc Linh, an 11th-grade student at Chu Van An High School (Hanoi) as she competed in the Adobe Certified Professional World Championship (ACPWC 2024).

The achievements at the 2024 season have brought the total number of medals won by the Vietnamese team at the world finals of both competitions to 22, including four gold medals, four silver medals, 14 bronze medals, two most popular votes. Eight Vietnamese students have been voted in the world’s 10 best.
Doan Nguyen Van Khanh, Deputy General Director of IIG Education Vietnam, representing the competition's organizing committee, credited the students for earning impressive results.
"This year's world finals were fiercely competitive. Today's achievements will serve as a solid foundation for the students in their future careers," she said.
