The Hanoi People’s Committee has just requested its local agencies and departments to stop using public emails such as Yahoo and Gmail for work.
The move follows Prime Minister’s guideline on boosting the use of electronic documents and emails at state management agencies. The Hanoi People’s Committee has also issued its own regulations for this, urging its staff members to use email @hanoi.gov.vn. However, many agencies and departments have not yet conformed to the requirement.
Under Vice Chairwoman of the committee Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc’s instruction, any document sent to an agency, using banned emails will not be received and dealt with.
She also assigned the office of the municipal People’s Committee to strictly supervise and inform the committee the regulation implementation.
Earlier, the Hanoi People Committee also received a circular from the Ministry of Information and Communications on the use of email with .gov.vn for work.
