Hanoi to implement December's key socio-economic development tasks

The Hanoi People’s Committee has recently issued Announcement No. 1388/TB-UBND dated December 4, stating conclusion of the People’s Committee at the meeting to review performance in November and implement tasks in December.



 
According to assessment, the Capital sees good growth of the economy. By November 26, total budget revenues reach VND 179,746 billion, accounting for 87.8% of estimates. Domestic revenues are VND 161,818 billion, meeting 87.1% of estimates; local budget expenses are VND 53,383 billion, accounting for 68.4% of estimates. Industry production index of November increases 1.9% against the last month, and 8.5% against the same period last year. Export turnover goes up by 2.9% against October and 10.1% against the same period last year. Ha Noi welcomes 390,000 arrivals of international tourists, an increase of 11.4% against the last month and 40.1% against the same period last year. In 11 months, international arrivals reach 3.33 million, a year-on-year increase of 29.3%.

The city also witnesses development in the field of banking credit. Investment and business environment has significant progress; there are remarkable achievements in investment attraction. City gives attention to inspection, complaint and denunciation resettlement, and anti-corruption. Drastic measures are taken to control dengue fever, maintain health care for people and social welfares. New-style rural area construction is implemented; two more suburban districts (Thanh Tri and Hoai Duc) are recognized for meeting new-style rural area standard, increasing the number of standard communes to 285.

 


For December, the Municipal People’s Committee requests city’s departments, agencies, sectors and localities to take drastic measures, perform key tasks to complete or even reach beyond targets of socio-economic development 2017, in particular the target of state budget revenues. The city’s departments, agencies, sectors and project management boards closely cooperate with localities to speed up progress of disbursement. Units complete their reports, proposals and draft resolutions to submit to the 5th session of Hanoi People’s Council. The departments, agencies and sectors prepare answers for the question-and-answer session, and continue effort to launch Year of Administrative Discipline 2017.

Authorities are urged to make report to sum up the performance in 2017 and perform key tasks in 2018. The report shall specify shortcomings and problems which are pointed out in Resolution of the 4th Central Party Committee (tenure 12). The authorities also focus on performing key tasks and plans to prepare for the New Year and Lunar New Year of 2018. Hanoi People’s Committee also urges agencies and sectors to realize tasks for December.
