The capital's tourism industry has created new and distinctive tourism products and carried out numerous tourism promotion activities to enhance Hanoi's appeal to visitors.

A case in point is the opening of the "Explore the Heritage Road in South of Thang Long" tourist route and the community tourism destination of Mien Village, Ba Vi District.

In addition, the Hanoi Department of Tourism is also strengthening cooperation with other provinces and cities to develop interconnected tourism routes.

The efforts of Hanoi's tourism industry were recognized when the city received the World's Leading Destination 2024 and World's Most Attractive Culinary Destination 2024 awards from the online travel platform Tripadvisor.

Great effort in the H2

Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, said her agency would connect management agencies, associations, airlines, tour operators, transport companies, shopping malls, and others to create synchronization in the development of the city's tourism products.

As part of the strategy to promote domestic tourism and enhance the image of Hanoi's scenic spots in 2024, the department organized a new program, "Hanoi people and tourists experience the services of Hanoi's 4-5 star hotels", which intensified the promotion of hotels and resorts while increasing the room occupancy rate of 4-5 star hotels in the city.

So far, 4-5 star hotels in the area have launched promotional packages such as Summer Indulgence Staycation from Hotel de l'Opera Hanoi; City Vacation, Luxury Afternoon Tea from Sofitel Legend Metropole; Happy Summer Vacation from Mövenpick Living West Hanoi.

The Hotel de l'Opera Hanoi has classic French-style architecture.

In addition, the city has conducted a survey program to link tourist destinations in Tay Ho District with travel agencies in the area; experiential tourism products with heritage and relic values in Ha Mo tourist destination, Dan Phuong District; exploring destinations in Ba Dinh District (Voi Phuc Temple, Quan Thanh Temple), Soc Son, Phuc Tho and Quoc Oai Districts.

Connecting tourist destinations along the Red and Duong Rivers, the city continues to promote the development of river tourism products.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism will coordinate with districts to research and build new models for cultural tourism and handicraft villages in Soc Son and Phu Xuyen districts.

According to Nguyen Manh Quyen, Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, the city will promote cooperation with other provinces and cities to develop interlinked tourism routes, such as the Hanoi-Ha Nam-Ninh Binh spiritual and cultural tourism route.

Hanoi's tourism industry will carry out promotional campaigns through various forms of communication, namely on national television stations, digital platforms, websites and social networking platforms (Youtube, Facebook, Tiktok...). Moreover, promotional clips and publications will be available in five languages: English, French, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

The city will focus on the design and production of gifts and Hanoi tourism publications that are imbued with the capital's culture.

In the remaining months of 2024, Dang Huong Giang said the capital's tourism industry will focus on organizing programs such as the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024, a series of Hanoi sports tourism events, a range of thematic activities on Hanoi's cultural and historical tourism products.
