Hanoians enjoy shopping for OCOP products this week

The week-long event is in response to the "Vietnamese People by Vietnamese Products" campaign in the new context.

Hanoi consumers can enjoy shopping for traditional handicrafts, safe farm produce, and the One Commune One Product (OCOP) items during the Hanoi OCOP Introduction Week, held in Le Mat Village, Long Bien District, from August 10 to 14.

The event features 50 booths showcasing OCOP products, traditional craft villages, and safe agricultural products from 43 enterprises, organizations, and cooperatives from Hanoi and 18 provinces and cities nationwide.

OCOP has been one of Hanoi's key achievements since its administrative boundary expansion 15 years ago

At the opening ceremony on August 10, Nguyen Van Chi, Deputy Head of the Hanoi Coordination Office of the New Rural Construction Program, said the event is an activity to help producers and businesses strengthen trade links, find markets for their products, and share experiences on digital transformation and flexible adaptation after the pandemic and market fluctuations.

In addition, this event is held in response to the campaign "Vietnamese people buy Vietnamese products" in the new context.

Vu Xuan Truong, Vice Chairman of Long Bien District People's Committee, mentioned that the district has developed 12 OCOP products and made them available to consumers.

He expressed his hope that the event would provide opportunities for consumers in the district and the city to get quality products at reasonable prices and promote the image of Long Bien to residents and tourists in Hanoi.

This is the second time in August that Hanoi has organized a week-long event to introduce and promote OCOP products, traditional handicraft villages, and safe agricultural products. The previous edition of the event was held in Bac Tu Liem District.
