Hanoi's 2nd Innovation Festival 2024: Showcasing youth creativity and entrepreneurship
Hanoi's 2nd Innovation Festival 2024 united nearly 900 participants to celebrate youth-driven innovation.
The 2nd Innovation Festival 2024, a key event organized by the Hanoi Youth Union, drew nearly 900 participants, including youth union members and representatives from leading businesses and government bodies on August 29, 2024.
The festival, aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among Hanoi’s youth, highlighted the city’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of creativity and technological advancement.

The festival began with energetic cultural performances by youth union members, setting the stage for a day focused on innovation. Following the performances, organizers welcomed distinguished guests, including representatives from the Central Youth Union, the Hanoi Party Committee, and the National Innovation Center (NIC).
In her opening remarks, Chu Hong Minh, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, emphasized the festival’s broader purpose. “This festival is a platform for the young minds of our city to showcase their creativity, exchange ideas, and drive innovation,” she said. The event aligns with Program No. 07 of the Hanoi Party Committee, which focuses on bolstering science, technology, and innovation in the capital from 2022 to 2025.

A highlight of the festival was the recognition of 23 participating units, who received commemorative flags for their contributions to innovation and digital transformation. Among the recognized entities were VNPT Hanoi, Rang Dong Lighting Company, and several emerging tech startups like iHUB and Meta 365. These organizations represent the growing collaboration between established businesses and the city’s vibrant startup community.
“Their participation is a testament to the synergy between businesses and young innovators in Hanoi,” said one organizer, underscoring the importance of such collaborations in advancing the city’s innovation agenda.
The festival's official launch featured a countdown led by city youth leaders, symbolizing the start of a new era of innovation in Hanoi. The event, marked by the illumination of a bright LED screen, underscored the city’s commitment to fostering technological advancement and creativity.
Attendees toured innovation booths showcasing groundbreaking projects developed by Hanoi’s youth. Tran Quang Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, remarked, “This event is a stepping stone for our young innovators, providing them with the visibility and support they need to turn their ideas into reality.”

The 2nd Innovation Festival 2024 highlighted Hanoi’s commitment to cultivating a future where young people lead the way in innovation.
