Hanoi's Deputy Chairman receives Japanese special advisor

Deputy Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee Le Hong Son met with special advisor to the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance Tsutomo Takebe on November 17 during his working visit to Vietnam.

The meeting focused on accelerating the implementation of the Vietnam-Japan University and boosting cooperation in Hanoi's agricultural development.

At the reception, Mr.Tsutomu Takebe said that Governments of the two countries agreed to implemetnt Vietnam-Japan University project under the plan to mark the 40th anniversary of bilateral relations  since 2013.
Special advisor Tsutomo Takebe stated that after the completion, the school, which spreads the total area of 6 ha in Hanoi's Hoa Lac High-Tech Park, will create conditions for Vietnam students to study Japan's univessity and postgraduate courses in the country.
Deputy Chairman Le Hong Son affirmed the Hanoi city is keen on the  project and will create favourable conditions to put the university into operation soon. 
Discussing on the agricultural sector, Deputy Chairman Le Hong Son said at present, the agriculture has accounted for a large proportion in the Hanoi's economic structure, adding that the city has been concentrating on developing high-quality and large economic value agriculture  to boost exporting its products.
The Deputy Chairman expressed his hope that Special advisor Tsutomo Takebe, the founder of the Institute of Agriculture in Southeast Asia, will help Hanoi to develop high technology agriculture.
Agreed with the proposal, Special advisor Tsutomo Takebe vowed  to do his best to coordinate with the related agencies in strengthening agricultural cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, thus contributing to foster the friendship between the two countries in general and  the capital of Hanoi in particular.
Within the framework of the meeting, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Ngo Dai Ngoc suggested five contents of cooperation with the Japanese delegation, including: Production and consumption of crops and animal breeds; Cooperation in production and processing of food and agricultural products; Production and consumption of machinery for agricultural production; Cooperation in technical personnel training and technology transfer; Cooperation in production and exports of agricultural products which meet the needs and quality standards of the Japanese market.
