Hanoi's digital pho served in Old Quarter

Smart robots can prepare and serve bowls of pho, offering a brand-new and contemporary pho dining experience.

Following the launch of the Pho so Ha Thanh (Hanoi’s digital pho) program at the Hanoi Culinary Culture Festival 2024 earlier this month, diners will be able to experience traditional Hanoi pho prepared and served by intelligent robots at the Nostalgia Hotel, 13-15 Luong Ngoc Quyen Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, from December 6 to 8.

It's a unique creation that blends traditional cuisine with cutting-edge technology, presenting a new perspective on the application of technological advancements and digital transformation in Vietnam's culinary sector.

Smart robots will take over production and service roles, offering a brand-new and contemporary pho dining experience.

This initiative is part of the Hanoi Culinary Culture Festival 2024, which aims to showcase the city's unique traditional culinary delights to domestic and international visitors.

The activity also aims to promote Hanoi's pho as a national intangible cultural heritage, contributing to the development of cultural industries in the culinary field; propose to request permission to prepare a dossier of pho to be submitted to UNESCO for inclusion in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

It's also an opportunity to reaffirm Hanoi's commitment to digital transformation and help people better understand the importance of digital transformation in everyday life.

During the "Hanoi's Digital Pho" program, diners will be introduced to the application of robotic technology and digital transformation in pho processing by City Convention Center staff, while also experiencing traditional pho prepared and served by smart robots.

Also on Luong Ngoc Quyen Street, visitors can immerse themselves in modern art performances by robots (robot mannequins) and take check-in photos with newly decorated, eye-catching miniatures.

The Hanoi People's Committee requires that the organization of "Hanoi's digital pho" program must ensure quality, efficiency, and savings.

Previously, pho bowls served by robots at the Hanoi Culinary Culture Festival 2024, attracted tens of thousands of customers.
