The capital city seeks cooperation to promote One Commune, One Product (OCOP) items in the Red River Delta, which is expected to become the country's biggest economic hub.
OCOP products from ten enterprises of Hanoi were exhibited at the Red River Delta conference on February 12 in the northern province of Quang Ninh.

Director of the Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA) Nguyen Anh Duong said that the booth aims to present the city's potentials, strengths and preferential investment policies while promoting its specialties, seeking cooperation opportunities in the region.
On dislay were Com (green sticky rice cake), Cha cookie or special salted peanut candies, green bean cake, glutinous rice flour cake, and sesame candies, from Bao Minh Confectionery JSC, and pasteurized fresh milk, fresh milk, yogurt, and kombucha tea from Ba Vi Milk JSC.
Also on display at the fair were lacquerware products, Bat Trang ceramic tableware from Quang Vinh Ceramic Company Limited, as well as dried noodles and Pho (dried noodles) from Minh Duong Food JSC, the OCOP products rated between four and five stars.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and other representative from ministries and localities visited the Hanoi booth. PM Chinh spoke highly of the OCOP products of Hanoi and encouraged Hanoian craftsmen to make more high-value products with catchy design and multifunction, meeting the demand of customers.

Under the theme "Development Linkages - Innovation - Green and Sustainability", the conference is of great importance for the development of the Red River Delta and opens up "new opportunities for advancement" for the region.
As many as 900 delegates from ministries, municipal governments, private enterprises, and international organizations attended the conference and discussed the Government's action plan for the socio-economic development and security of the Red River Delta until 2045.
The Red River Delta consists of 11 subnational provinces/cities namely Hanoi, Haiphong, Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, and the Southern Red River Delta sub-region, comprising Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, and Ninh Binh.
