Hanoi’s promotion program to attract 1,000 businesses in 2022

Enterprises will receive support to form production, supply, and linkage chains in the city and across the country.

Hanoi’s concentrated promotion program and its related events are expected to attract around 1,000 businesses in 2022. It is one of the major tasks under the latest plan to stimulate domestic demand and increase total retail sales of consumer goods and services approved by the Hanoi People’s Committee.

The city will also innovate and improve the effectiveness of the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” through effectively carrying out planned programs, as well as call for investment and support enterprises to upgrade and renovate traditional markets’ infrastructure, expand sales network and modern retail system.

The city will promote the application of information technology in production and business administration as well as accelerate e-commerce and cashless payment for the development of the digital economy and in the context of the post-Covid-19 pandemic.

Enterprises will receive support to form production, supply, and linkage chains in the city and across the country.

The city will support agricultural production, ensure supply of agro-forestry-aquatic products, processed foods for those living in the area in association with continuing to develop the traceability system, promote the use of QR codes, control food safety, and develop production-supply-consumption chains of agricultural products.

Hanoi will effectively implement the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program in 2022, through organizing events to introduce and promote products from each region.

In addition, the city will continue stabilizing the market of essential goods, strengthening the inspection and control of the market, combating smuggling, commercial fraud, and counterfeit goods as well as controlling food safety and quality of goods.

The plan will focus on building Hanoi's tourism products, such as heritage tourism, culture, and ecology tourism, agricultural tourism, health care tourism, as well as organizing cultural, sports, and commercial events to attract people and tourists to the capital.
