This is part of the Viet Startup INTERchange Singapore 2022 program, launched by the Hanoi Business Support Center under the municipal Department of Planning and Investment in collaboration with BambuUp JSC.

At the kickoff ceremony of the event, the two sides inked a cooperation agreement on November 11 in Hanoi to implement the program.

The selected startups participating in the short-term training course were Livespo, HENO, Smart Loyalty, Callilo, Inmergers, Abaha, GoEdu, VIDAS, Open Classroom Team, and ILV Global.

The participants are businesses in Hanoi having less than five years of operations each and receiving national and international awards for typical innovative startups.

This is a great opportunity for Vietnamese startups to access and update international elites, investment connections, and development expansion.

Under the program, meetings will be held between potential business partners, investment funds, and startups to exchange learning and experience in developing innovative businesses.

In addition, practical visits to Innovation Centers and large corporations such as Google, Microsoft, and Meta will be organized.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Hanoi Business Support Center Ngo Minh Toan said, through the program, the training course is expected to improve the creative capacity of Hanoi’s startups and the development of the innovation and startup ecosystem of the capital.

"The Hanoi Business Support Center expects that in the 2023-25 period, there will be many startups in Hanoi to receive this kind of support from the city," he noted.

 Delegates attend the kickoff ceremony.

According to Le Van Quan, deputy director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment, overseas expansion, including capital solicitation, networking, market search, human resource recruitment, and training, are indispensable for a successful entrepreneur.

Therefore, the city is running a project to support creative startups in Hanoi in the 2019-25 period (Project 4889), which connects domestic and international organizations in the field of science and technology with creative startups and encourages innovative international organizations to support funds for startups.

Hanoi is currently home to the most significant number of business incubators, with 15 out of every 40 in Vietnam, and leads the country in the number of startup competitions.

Under the project, Hanoi will form a network of startup support, including the establishment of an addition of 3-5 startup incubators to realize its role as a facilitating factor to boost startup development.

By 2025, the city aims to support 500 innovative startup projects, of them, 150 will be able to commercialize their products.
