The investigation and prosecution records of Linh’s case were concluded within a month after the district Procuracy approved to prosecute the suspect.
Linh, retired in the middle of 2018 and a lawyer of the Danang Bar Association, may face a penalty of six months to three years over the molestation charge.
According to investigation files, Linh was caught by the camera when hugging and kissing a minor child without her consent in an elevator of an apartment building.
She was seen horrified but the man continued hugging her for a second time despite her resistance.
During the investigation, Linh just admitted to hugging and kissing the girl because of her cuteness.
The footage of his action sparked widespread outrage over the internet and social media.
On April 5, the HCM City Association for Protection of Child's Rights sent a request to the police and the People's Procuracy in District 4 to prosecute Linh for committing sexual crime against people under 16 years old.
Besides, the residents at the apartment building in HCM City where Linh perpetrated the misdemeanor  also sent a letter to urge the local government to prosecute the former official of Danang City for child sexual abuse.
