Water cruising has long been one of the top things to do when visiting Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh province.

CNN, a US news television channel, has reported that helicopter is a new way to air cruising over Ha Long Bay, a dazzling natural attraction in Vietnam.
Northern Vietnam Helicopter Company, a subsidiary of state-owned helicopter operator Vietnam Helicopter Corporation, has launched a series of tourism flights over the scenic Ha Long Bay area.
CNN said that there are three different routing options for visitors, with prices ranging between US$125 and US$396 per person.
“The cheapest journey lasts for 12 minutes and will hover over six tourist sites, including Thien Cung cave, Titop island and Bai Tu Long Bay. The most expensive experience lasts for 40 minutes with views of 17 different sites along Ha Long Bay,” CNN wrote.
Flights depart from and land at Tuan Chau island, which is about 170-kilometers from Hanoi.
It isn't the first and only air sightseeing in the area. Hai Au Aviation, the first company in Vietnam operating commercial seaplane service, also offers air tourism over Ha Long Bay.
The 25-minute tour takes off and lands from the water at Tuan Chau Island Marina. The cost ranges from US$102-120 depending on the season and includes views of Dau Be Island, Cong Do Island and Bo Hon Island.
Recognized twice by the UNESCO as a global heritage for its landscape and geological value, Ha Long Bay has become a magnetic destination for visitors to Quang Ninh.
In 2018, Quang Ninh province welcomed 5.2 million visitors, a 22% increase against 2017. The sector earned over VND24 trillion (US$1.03 billion), up 28% year on year, according to the provincial Department of Tourism.
