Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum welcomed over 50,000 visitors on National Day holiday

The mausoleum, which is considered a significant cultural and artistic construction, welcomed 1.2 million visitors in the first six months of 2019.

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum received 50,066 people who came to pay tribute to the Revolutionary leader, of them 1,462 were foreign visitors, from August 31 to September 2, on the 74th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day and 50 years of implementing the late President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament.

The Management Board of the Mausoleum cooperated with relevant agencies and forces to provide free bottles of water and loaves of bread for visitors.

The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum was built in 1973, four years after the president passed away on September 2, 1969. His embalmed body has been preserved in the central chamber of building, and strictly protected by military honor guards.

The Mausoleum, which is considered a significant cultural and artistic construction, welcomed 1.2 million visitors in the first six months of 2019.

During the latest examination on President Ho Chi Minh’s embalmed body in the middle of July, a group of scientists, including four Russian experts and seven Vietnamese concluded that it was in "excellent condition."
