The People`s Committee of HCM City held a ceremony to inaugurate a park to commemorate 52 commandos, who sacrificed their lives to occupy and protect Rach Chiec Bridge during the Ho Chi Minh Campaign.

The memorial site was built in the area of 12,000 square metres of An Phu Commune, District 2. The site includes a 6,000-square-metre memorial park and an area for flower lantern release.
