During three days, the Youtubers will have a chance to enjoy and shoot the beautiful scenery and mouth-watering local cuisine in three central coastal provinces.
International and domestic Youtube video bloggers have been invited by Google to a trip to promote Vietnam's culture, tourism and cuisine, Nguoi Lao Dong (Laborer) newspaper reported.
Accordingly, Google Vietnam has launched a program titled “Google Adventure Vietnam", which takes place from June 24 to 28. The program aims to promote the tourism and image of Vietnam to the world via video of international and domestic Youtube creators.
Six Youtube creators to join Google Adventure Vietnam are Le Hoang Nam (NamChallengeMe/Vietnam), Emrah Tekin (CrazyEmri/Germany), Pham Van Du (Oops Banana/Vietnam), Pierre Liu (TheLiuPei/Taiwan – China), Park Woo Sung (Woossi/South Korea) and Reimari Germar (Rei Garmar/the Philippines).
The YouTube creators all have more than one million to over three million subscribers on their respective channels on Google-owned YouTube. During three days, they will have a chance to enjoy and shoot the beautiful scenery and mouth-watering local cuisine Quang Binh, Quang Nam and Da Nang and are supposed to share their journeys and experiences with their huge fan bases on YouTube.
It is hoped that the YouTuber personalities will help introduce Vietnamese tourist attractions and the hospitality of its people to the world.
Earlier, Tourism Magazine, under the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), and TikTok, a creative social media platform primarily driven by short-video, launched a promotion program for Vietnam’s tourism via video hashtag “HelloVietnam”.
The program is among activities to promote Vietnam’s tourism with diverse content and honor Vietnamese people’s creativity. Accordingly, Tourism Magazine is in charge of operating the VietnamTourism account on TikTok while TikTok will organize training courses for Tourism Magazine and partners on how to create videos or films and use TikTok’s platform effectively.
The number of foreign visitors to Vietnam in the first five-month of 2019 is estimated at nearly 7.3 million, up 8.8% against the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).
In 2019, Vietnam expects to welcome some 103 million visitors, including around 18 million foreigners and 85 million domestic visitors, up 15% and 6%, respectively, from 2018.
In 2018, Vietnam received a record high of 15.5 million foreign tourists and 80 million domestic travelers, generating VND620 trillion (US$26.66 billion) in tourism revenue, according to VNAT.
