The first International Day of Happiness, themed “Love and Share” will be held at 9 pm on March 20 in the Ha Noi Opera House.
Earlier, in June 2012, the United Nations announced the date of March 20 as the International Day of Happiness.
Among 193 nations committed to supporting the International Day of Happiness, which was initiated by the UN, Vietnam is working to improve living standards, establish a fair and sustainably developed society, and bring happiness to all. Besides publicizing the day, the Ministry has also launched an essay writing competition with the topic on happy family.
