Japan’s Kyushu region desires to invest in Ha Nam

A delegation from Japan’s Kuyshu region led by Masaki Kawahara, Director of the region’s Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry has made a fact-finding tour of the northern province of Ha Nam to seek investment opportunities.

At a working session with Japanese guests on February 25,provincial Party Committee Secretary Mai Tien Dung said the locality wants to attract more investment from foreign firms, especially in support industry and high-tech agriculture.

The local authorities will provide incentives on land and building infrastructure, aiming to encourage investment in Ha Nam, he said.
For his part, Masaki Kawahara noted with satisfaction the investment environment in the province, saying that Ha Nam has huge potential to cooperate with the Kyushu region, particularly in high-tech agriculture.
He said he hopes the locality will continue offering favourable conditions for businesses from Japan as well as from Kyushu.
In the first 11 months last year, Ha Nam attracted 62 projects valued at US$ 693 million, including 33 foreign-invested.
