Vietnam Airlines officially transferred the Hanoi-Tuy Hoa route to the low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific Airlines on December 16.
Jetstar Pacific is a member of the Jestar Group, a leading low-cost airline brand in Asia-Pacific with a fleet of 75 aircraft and network of routes to 17 countries.
A320 aircraft of Jetstar Pacific Airlines with 180 passengers which took off from Noi Bai International Airport landed at Tuy Hoa airport in the morning of December 16.
The Jetstar Pacific airline operates four flights per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday Jetstar Pacific, using A320 aircraft with 180 seats on the route.
The time for each flight is reduced by 40 minutes to one hour and 50 minutes.
Previously, the route was operated by the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, using aircraft ATR-72 with 68 seats.
The transfer of the route to Jetstar Pacific belongs to Vietnam Airlines’ strategy to develop a dual brand between the two carriers with the aim to diversify products and meet the increasing demand of passengers.
Previously, Vietnam Airlines transferred two air routes: HCM City-Tuy Hoa and HCM City-Chu Lai to Jetstar Pacific.
