The king's visit to Vietnam aims to strengthen political trust between the two neighboring nations.
King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia arrived in Hanoi today to begin a two-day visit to Vietnam. This is his fourth visit since ascending the throne, with previous visits in 2006, 2012, and 2018.
Vietnamese President Luong Cuong held a welcoming ceremony on November 28 with the attendance of senior officials from Vietnam and diplomats from ASEAN member states.
According to Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Huy Tang, the king’s visit to Vietnam aims to boost political trust between the two neighboring countries.
During his visit, King Norodom Sihamoni will meet with Vietnam's top leaders to foster warm friendship and strengthen political trust between Cambodia and Vietnam.
The visit aims to promote cooperation in various fields and deepen the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship under the principle of "Good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability."
