“Hanoi University determined to be the pioneer in implementing gender equality in Hanoi’s education system” - Prof. Dr. Dang Van Soa – Vice Principal of Hanoi University said at the launch of the National Action Month on Gender Equality 2017 on November 23.

With theme “Let’s united in preventing violence against women and girls”, in the Action Month (from November 15 – December 15), the Hanoi University will hold activities to educate teachers and students on laws with regard to gender equality and preventing gender – based violence.

Along with encouraging staffs, teachers, students and society to act, the university will continue raising awareness and skills for self protection and preventing violence for women and children, especially is knowledge and skills to prevent sexual abuse and violence against women and children for parents and family members, or people working on gender equality. 

At the same time, it is necessary to protect and care for chidlren, reducing the case of violence against children and women, especially sexual abuse agianst women and children.

Also in the Action Month, the university will promote on tradition and the beauty of Vietnamese women during the period of pushing forward with the process of industrialization and modernization; outstanding achievements of the campaign Vietnamese women, Hanoi and the Hanoi university.  

Hanoi University also commend outstanding women groups and individuals in profession, science study, social responsibilities, among others. On the other hand, efficient models, in particularly new factors in the patriotism campaign, and common campaigns of the university.
