Market stabilization program to be promoted in Hanoi Capital

The Hanoi People’s Committee issues Document 5193/UBND-KT dated October 18, giving instruction for market operation, management and stabilization in the last months of 2017.

This is Hanoi's effort to promote production, provide sufficient products for the market, and contribute to curbing inflation, stabilizing macroeconomics and ensuring social welfares in the last months of 2017.



 

Under the Document, the Department of Industry and Trade in cooperation with Department of Finance, Hanoi Branch of Viet Nam State Bank and relevant units shall focus on implementing the market stabilization program, especially in peak periods during New Year and Lunar New Year holidays.

The Department of Industry and Trade shall cooperate with Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Hanoi Promotion Center and Department of Tourism to proactively carry out trade promotion programs, enhance the supply-demand connection in order to increase production and consumption, and create high-quality and stable sources of products for festivals, celebrations and New Year holidays.

 


 

The Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Health, Police Department in cooperation with People’s Committees of districts, towns and relevant units shall increase inspection, tighten control over the market, increase the fight against smuggling, commercial fraud, fake, low-quality and unsafe products, and severely punish violations according to the law.

The Department of Industry and Trade shall proactively cooperate with authorities in market management, cooperate with Department of Finance in product price management, and cooperate with Department of Information and Communications in information work and popularization. It shall also report regularly to the Hanoi People’s Committee, and act as advisor in management and market stabilization.
