Mayor of the Republic of Korea’s Busan City, Hur Namsik was awarded the Friendship Medal for his remarkable contributions to boosting friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
Speaking at an award handover ceremony in Bussan on June 24, Vietnamese ambassador to RoK Pham Huu Chi hailed the Busan Mayor’s efforts in strengthening economic and cultural links between Ho Chi Minh City and Busan, thereby enhancing strategic cooperation partnership between Vietnam and the RoK.
The cross-cultural exchange between the two cities have been expanded over the years with approximately 30,000 Vietnamese people living and studying in Busan and about 80,000 those from RoK living in HCM City.
