Mekong Delta among the best places to visit in December

The list is based on airfare trends, climate data, and worldwide cultural calendars.

Mekong Delta in Vietnam has been ranked 11th among the 13 best vacation spots that should be on your radar for a December vacation, according to a list released by Business Insider, a US financial and business news website published by Insider Inc.

Business Insider advises travelers that for a truly one-of-a-kind experience, head to southern Vietnam’s Mekong Delta and discover a world that revolves around the river.
“The most popular activity for travelers to the region is guided boat tours through the maze-like Mekong and its many offshoots. There, you’ll see incredible floating markets like the one in Can Tho, where bustling crowds of locals navigate from boat to boat trading their goods. You can also get a breathtaking view of the delta from Sam Mountain near Chau Doc,” Business Insider wrote.
Miami in Florida (the US) tops the list, followed by Atlanta in Georgia, San Antonio in Texas, Banff National Park in Canada, Punta del Este in Uruguay, Madagascar, Bath in the UK, Vienna in Austria, etc.
Earlier, Vietnam has been ranked 13th among the 20 best places to visit in October, according to a list released by Condé Nast Traveller, a UK travel magazine.
“October is the beginning of dry season in Vietnam’s north and south, where monumental natural spectacles and buzzing city scenes both abound. Up top, hill station Sapa is the gateway to misty treks, Hanoi is all chaos, condensed-milk coffees on low plastic stools and some of the best food you’ll ever taste,” Condé Nast Traveller wrote.
In addition, the Mekong Delta is a whole world bobbing on canals and streams, and Ho Chi Minh City is where the bohos go, don’t miss The Café Apartment, a nine-storey block stuffed with fairy-lit mini-boutiques and craft coffee stores.
Vietnam welcomed some 11.616 million foreign visitors in the first nine months of 2018, an 22.9% increase from the same period last year, the General Statistics Office (GSO) has said in a monthly report.
Arrivals by air, road, and sea in the reviewed period recorded annual increases of 17.4%, 62.1%, and 0.5%, respectively, while growth was also seen in the numbers of visitors from all five continents.
