The year’s turnover from the electronics industry hit nearly US$ 2.5 million, up 17% from 2006. The hardware industry enjoyed an annual 25% growth, earning US$ 620 million. The software industry earned 483 million, of which 180 million came from exports.
The Ministry has determined that 2008 will be a year for adjusting its structure and activities in line with its new role and functions and other new changes. The ministry will focus its efforts and resources on the application of information technology and implementation of e-government.
