NA committee discusses bill on atomic energy

Hanoi Times – The National Assembly Standing Committee opened its sixth session in Hanoi o­n February 25, giving opinions o­n a number of draft laws, including the bill o­n atomic energy.

Hanoi Times – The National Assembly Standing Committee opened its sixth session in Hanoi o­n February 25, giving opinions o­n a number of draft laws, including the bill o­n atomic energy.

Participants at the session focused their discussions o­n whether a national committee for atomic energy development and application and another for nuclear safety should be established.

They also discussed the collection of public opinions o­n the building of a nuclear power plant, including measures to ensure safety and security for the construction of the plant.

During the session, the participants also gave opinions o­n the draft laws o­n public service and health insurance in addition to budget allocation plans and regulations for National Assembly agencies to carry out foreign relations activities.
