Hanoi Times – The National Assembly Standing Committee opened its sixth session in Hanoi on February 25, giving opinions on a number of draft laws, including the bill on atomic energy.
Participants at the session focused their discussions on whether a national committee for atomic energy development and application and another for nuclear safety should be established.
They also discussed the collection of public opinions on the building of a nuclear power plant, including measures to ensure safety and security for the construction of the plant.
During the session, the participants also gave opinions on the draft laws on public service and health insurance in addition to budget allocation plans and regulations for National Assembly agencies to carry out foreign relations activities.
