The three-day holiday marking the National Day, along with a number of appealing tours and entertainment activities has helped to increase the number of visitors to tourist sites across the country.

National Day gives a chance boost to Vietnam’s tourism.
Nearly 150,000 visitors were estimated to have visited Da Nang during the three-day holiday, up 13% over the same period in 2016, the Da Nang municipal Department of Tourism had announced.
Da Nang has organized various activities to meet the increasing demand of visitors including the launch of three passenger transport routes on the Han River and the Lai Thieu eco-tourism site.
The city has also held many free exhibitions and art programs for the public and tourists including a painting exhibition in Da Nang from September 1-7 and a fair showcasing a special collection of ancient items such as coins, paper money, and pottery, among others.
Ho Chi Minh City was the only city in Vietnam to hold a 15-minute fireworks display at the Dam Sen Park on the night of September 2, attracting tens of thousands of local people and tourists.
Many other localities across the country have also seen increases of tourists during the three-day holiday, particular localities near big cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Popular sea tourism cities and provinces including PhanThiet, Nha Trang, Quang Ngai, Quang Binh, Hue, Ha Long and Hai Phong are all estimated to welcome a 10% increase in visitors compared to the same period last year.
PhanThiet was forecasted to welcome 40,000 visitors during the three-day holiday while Hue and Quang Ninh received 25,000 and 22,000 arrivals respectively on September 2 alone.
Hai Phong's Cat Ba Island and Quang Ngai's Ly Son Island also welcomed more than 5,000 visitors each during the three-day holiday. Domestic transport enterprises have also increased their transport capacity to meet the increasing travel demand.
The national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, increased by 40 flights from September 1-4 to provide additional 8,000 seats on seven flights with high demand while Vietnam Railway increased by 26 routes from August 31 to September 4.
