New chairman of Hanoi Tourism Association

On December 7, in Hanoi, Hanoi Tourism Association (Hanta) has held the 5th congress for the period 2017 - 2022.

In the last term, Hanta has many contribute with evolution of Hanoi and Vietnam tourism. In which, Hanta was act as the bridge to connect between enterprises and localities, held the number of visitors increased by 40 percent. Hanta has combination with Hanoi Department of Tourism to open many training courses for 1,000 drivers; to extend connect with many international tourism market, including Russia, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, US, Cuba, Angola, Mozambique, Argentina, Brazil…
At the present, Hanta has 560 members. Accordingly, the congress has voted 30 members into 5th of Hanta executive committee. In addition, Mr Nguyen Manh Than was chosen as President of Hanoi Tourism Association in the new tenure of 2017 - 2022.
According to Nguyen Manh Than, in the upcoming time, the Association will join to build the plan for Hanoi and Vietnam tourism development. On the other hand, promotion activities to advertise the image and achievements of Hanoi and Vietnam during the process of global integration is also one of the priority.
The Hanoi Tourism Association is a voluntary professional social organization of Vietnamese enterprises, economic organizations, and citizens who are living and operating legally in the field of tourism. Tourism and other fields related to tourism activities in the city of Hanoi.
The purpose of the Association is to gather and associate members to cooperate and support each other in business and services, to improve the quality of tourism products and to increase domestic and international competitiveness. Together they contribute to strive for the development of tourism capital in particular and tourism in Vietnam in general.
In addition, Hanoi’s Department of Tourism estimated that by the end of 2017, the capital city will have welcomed more than 23.8 million visitors for earnings of roughly 71 trillion VND (3.1 billion USD), an increase of 15 percent from the same period last year.
