New tourist routes launched between Hanoi and Bac Giang

The aim of the new tourist routes is to enrich the traveler's unique experience.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism, in cooperation with SGO Travel Co. Ltd, will offer seven attractive tours from Hanoi to Bac Giang Province, with daily departures from Wednesday to Sunday,  for domestic and international travelers.

Accordingly, the seven newly launched tours consist of one-day and two-day, and overnight tours, offering travelers exciting experiences in Vietnamese culture, history, and spiritual beliefs.

These tours will depart from downtown Hanoi to natural attractions, handicraft villages, and pagodas in Yen The, Viet Yen, Luc Ngan, and Son Dong communes in Bac Giang province.

It is said that the local great potential for tourism development has not been properly exploited. With the advantage of its geographical location, only 60 km from Hanoi, Bac Giang has a developed transport infrastructure, so the Hanoi-Bac Giang tourist routes would attract not only tourists from Hanoi but also foreigners to the capital.

The highlight of the program is the one-day excursion "Hanoi - Western Yen Tu: Following in the Footsteps of Emperor Buddha," which takes visitors on an emotional historical journey along the "Dharma Preaching Path" of King Tran Nhan Tong and his disciples more than 700 years ago. It is considered a major pilgrimage route to the sacred land of Truc Lam Buddhism in Vietnam.

The tour begins at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, passes by the Vinh Nghiem Pagoda (where Emperor Tran Nhan Tong preached the Dharma), and finally reaches the sacred peak of the western mountain of Yen Tu.

Especially at Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, where more than 3,050 woodblock prints of the Nguyen Dynasty are preserved, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the moc ban or woodblock technique, which is recognized as a World Heritage by UNESCO.

The "Hanoi - Tho Ha Pottery Village: Try Being a Quan Ho Singer" day tour gives visitors the great experience of being a quan ho folk singer for a day. Travelers will have the opportunity to try on the traditional Vietnamese four-piece suit, talk to the male and female quan ho lien anh-lien chi or folk singers, learn some rhythms, and visit old houses, among other interesting activities.

The tour, titled "Hanoi - Quan Ho: A Glorious Age," will help visitors review the historical milestones of Yen The uprising against French invaders a century ago.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience interesting activities such as: visiting and learning about the history of Xuong Giang Historical Site in Bac Giang City and Hoang Hoa Tham Historical Site in Yen The District.

In the fourth excursion, entitled "Hanoi - Luc Ngan", travelers can visit some gardens where local specialties such as lychees, oranges, and grapefruit are mainly grown; discover the craft of Chu noodle making; immerse themselves in the beautiful natural scenery or experience canoeing at natural tourist attractions such as Khuon Than Lake, Bau Lay Lake or Cam Son Lake.

In addition to these four newly launched day tours, SGO Travel also organizes other two-day and overnight tours to the above destinations.

According to to Do Tuan Khoa, Deputy Director of the Bac Giang Provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the locality has made great efforts in recent years to develop new tourism products to better meet the leisure needs of locals and travelers.

"These Hanoi-Bac Giang tourist routes are expected to give a great boost to Bac Giang tourism. In the near future, the province will cooperate with neighboring cities, including Hanoi, to create more new routes that will attract more visitors," he said.

On this occasion, the tourism departments of Bac Giang and Hanoi also signed various cooperation agreements to promote tourism in the two places.
