Nuclear Power Exhibition to kick off next week in Hanoi

Hanoi Times – Major preparatory work for project o­n Vietnam’s first nuclear power plant is going to be introduced at the international exhibition, co-organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) from May 14 to 17 in the Cultural Friendship Palace.

Hanoi Times – Major preparatory work for project o­n Vietnam’s first nuclear power plant is going to be introduced at the international exhibition, co-organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) from May 14 to 17 in the Cultural Friendship Palace.

This is the the third international exhibition o­n nuclear power in Hanoi. Aside from Vietnam’s show-case o­n research results and our preparation for detail project, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Canada, China and France will prove their capacity in design, manufacturing, construction and operation of the nuclear power plant to become Vietnam’s partners.

The Vietnamese Government just approved to speed up the project’s tempo and double the plant’s scale, from 2,000 to 4,000 MW.

It is predicted to have two plants in Phuoc Dinh (Ninh Phuoc District) and in Vinh Hai Commune (Ninh Hai District), Ninh Thuan province.-
