Online public services inspection in Gia Lam district

The inter-sectoral delegation led by Director of the Authority for Information and Communication Phan Lan Tu conducted an inspection of the implementation of online publicity services in Gia Lam district on June 8.

After being briefed on the implementation of online public services in Gia Lam district, the delegation toured the Trau Quy township and Dang Xa commune to check how online public services work in these two localities. The delegation concluded that Gia Lam has succeeded in dissemination, education and building IT infrastructure from the district down to the communes and townships.
The inter-sectoral delegation lead by Director of the Authority for Information and Communication Phan LanTu inspected the implementation of online public services in Dang Xa commune.
Last year, Gia Lam district invested VND 8 billion to buy IT equipments to enhance the people’s possibilities of handling digital administrative procedures  at all levels. The district has provided regular training on digital public services to its public servants. As the result, administrative procedures in the district have been aggressively simplified. So far, birth and death registration has been online. In the first five months of this year, 97% of public services are submitted and processed online. The inter-sectoral inspection delegation also pointed out some shortcomings of commues  that need to be improved such as low IT skill among the people; few registration and implementation of some services in the area; two many softwares applied for work of judicial officers  and registrars in communes and towns.
The Director of the Authority for Information and Communication Phan Lan Tu on behalf of the inspection delegation acknowledged the the district authorities’ feed back and promised he would  report to the People's Committee of Hanoi to supplement and complete the list online public services in 2017.
