Open-top, two-storey bus for a tour around Hanoi

The first two-storey bus line for tourists in Hanoi runs on pilot basis from today.


The two-storey bus with 16-45 seat will give passengers a tour around Hanoi’s famous sites.
The first bus line will go into pilot route since morning of June, 30. The planned route is Hanoi Opera House – Hanoi Temple of Literature, Uncle Ho Monument and Hanoi Old Quarter area.
Once the preview is successful, Hanoi Transportation Company (Hanoi Transerco) will order domestic manufacture to produce more buses, expected to go into official operation within the next 2 months.
At the end of 2016, Vietnamese Prime Minister allowed Hanoi and anther 6 cities to pilot transporting tourist via two-storey buses during 5 years. Each specialized bus is spacy with 2 storeys, open-top, high quality seat; serving passengers to travel from urban center to airport, tourist areas.
Offering two-storey bus for tourists is popular model applied in numerous countries in the region, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, China...
Expected route of the City Tour bus: Hanoi Opera House - Trang Tien Str – Ngo Quyen Str - Ly Thuong Kiet Str - Hoa Lo Str - Hai Ba Trung Str - Nguyen Khuyen Str – Hanoi Temple of Literature - Ton Duc Thang Str - Chu Van An Str - Dien Bien Phu Str- Hoang Dieu Rd - Hoang Van Thu Str - Hung Vuong Rd - Thanh Nien Rd - Phan Dinh Phung Str - Hang Cot Str - Hang Luoc Str - Cha Ca Str- Hang Can Str- Luong Van Can Str - Le Thai To Str - Ba Trieu Str - Hai Ba Trung - Phan Chu Trinh Str – Hanoi Opera House.
