Party, State and Hanoi leaders pay tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh

Delegations of leaders from the Party, State, Government, National Assembly, and Vietnam Fatherland Front and Hanoi leaders on April 29 paid a floral tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification (April 30, 1975).

Attending the ceremony were Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, former State President Tran Duc Luong, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, former Party and State leaders, politburo members, secretaries of the Party Central Committee and senior war veterans.

The delegation of Hanoi leaders included: Chairman of People's Committee Nguyen The Thao, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, Vice Chairman of City Council Le Van Hoat, representatives and leaders of departments, agencies and organizations.

The leaders expressed their deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh in remembrance of his great contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
The delegations later laid wreaths at the fallen soldiers Memorial in tribute to heroic war heroes who lost their lives in the conflict.
In the same day, delegations from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence, the Central Public Security Commission and the Ministry of Public Security also paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and laid a wreath at the fallen soldiers Memorial.
