As many as 60 photos taken by journalist Nguyen My Tra during her journey to Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago are being put on show at an exhibition held in Ho Chi Minh City from October 15-20.
The photos were selected from her album while visiting Truong Sa and platform DK1– an important economics-science-service complex in the southern continental shelf for 10 days in June 2016.
The exhibition is a tribute to officials and soldiers who devoted their youth to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as ensure peace and happiness of families.
The Lighthouse work, created by Hoa Binh Construction & Real Estate Corporation and First News – a cultural company specialising in books, was introduced to public.
It is 7.4 meters high and weighs 1.2 tonnes with a diameter of 1.4 meters, demonstrating Vietnam’s sovereignty over Truong Sa and Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelgos.
